We were already a member of the VViN (Association of Translation Agencies in the Netherlands), but we did not stop there. Once we saw the peak of the highest mountain, there was only one goal: to reach the tip of the summit. To stand on top of Mount Everest. That means meeting the highest quality standards for translation agencies: the ISO 9001 and the ISO ISO 17100.

The ISO 9001 standard is about the highest possible quality of products, processes, and services, and the ISO 17100 standard is the International quality label for translation agencies. The requirements that are set relate to internal business processes and the qualification of the translators and proofreaders. It’s all about quality, transparency, and accountability.
The ISO standards are governed by the European standardisation body CEN and the European association of translation agencies EUATC, and certification is carried out by an independent control body.
Our regular customers already know that we take our work very seriously and offer an extensive translation service. To give an example; if a customer comes to us for legal translations, we will always serve them with a legally savvy translator. The translation then passes a ‘second pair of eyes’ and the two legal translators discuss any discrepancies. Finally, the translation passes the ‘eye of the master’; a seasoned, multi-lingual lawyer who has made his mark in the international judiciary. He acts as a partner, proofreader, and final editor for our legal translators. We call this the ‘eyes principle;’ the translation passes not two, not four, but six eyes. All this with the aim of providing you with a perfect translation.
Everything is about top quality, transparency, and controllability.
In addition, we always work with native speakers. Your translations into Spanish, Greek, or Czech are always made and/or corrected by Spaniards, Greeks, or Czechs living in their native countries. Such translators have a better sense of their language than a Dutch person who has studied a foreign language and works in a Dutch office. Moreover, native speakers know the culture of their country best, and therefore provide the most accurate translated texts.
Native speakers living in their own countries can be helpful to the client for determining the correct terminology. After all, language is a living phenomenon that is subject to constant change. Words that are used locally may be different from those that occur in dictionaries, if they are even found in those at all. Can you expect a translator working in the Netherlands to know what a combo nozzle connector is called in Poland?
